Rita holds a degree in Cinematography, having studied Film at the ESTC in Lisbon and at the FAMU in Prague.
Since moving to Berlin in 2012 to expand her network and creative opportunities, she has worked as a cinematographer and all-round filmmaker for clients such as Boiler Room, GORKI, Jung von Matt, among others. With a broad experience in documentary-based storytelling, her work has empowered the missions of forward-thinking entities and initiatives for positive impact and societal change.
Rita is passionate about telling stories that tackle inclusivity, identity and authenticity not only through filmmaking, but also as an analogue photographer having collaborated with artists such as Magic Island, Alvin Collantes, Pepe Dayaw, Conan Osiris and Ghetthoven.
